Forehead to forehead
A close couple pose that photographs intimacy without an awkward kiss-for-the-camera.
- couples
- engagement
- date photos
Steps
Stand close, toes almost touching, bodies slightly offset so you don’t bump noses.
Rest foreheads together; close or half-close the eyes.
Place one person’s hand on the other’s jaw or upper arm.
Have the photographer shoot from the side or a slight three-quarter, not straight on.
Pro tips
- The taller person should lean in so both spines stay long.
- A real laugh after the still frame often beats the posed shot.
Common mistakes
- Pressing so hard the faces squash. Light contact is enough.
- Both looking at the camera while foreheads touch — pick one: connection or lens.
Lighting
Backlight (sunset or a window behind you) plus a bit of fill on the faces. Avoid a flash that flattens the gap between you.
